The Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil is pure moisturising bliss for lips!

Hey there guys! Hope this week is treating you all kindly. I recently posted a photo of the Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil on my Instagram and was asked some very interesting questions, hence I thought I’d make a blog post explaining more about my experience using three of the seven shades available. If I were to keep it short, I’d simply say that these are gift sent for my dry lips!

Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil: Tangerine, Honey and Peppermint

Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil

In my view, Clarins skincare is one of the best out there. I’ve loved a lot of their products through the years. Hence when I saw these lip oils, not only was I attracted to their cute and colourful packaging but I had to resist grabbing more than the ones I did! There was reason to wait a little: with my dry lips, not all products are effective. I’ve tried a lot of lip balms and, if we exclude Bobbi Brown’s, all others have been ok but not life changing. They soften my lips but they don’t help with dryness long-term. I thought that the Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil would be yet another product promising (but failing) to soothe dry lips, but was I mistaken! These lip oils are phenomenal.

Once applied to the lips, they start doing a ton of good work for you! They soften the texture on the lips, add shine and feel oh so refreshing. What I have particularly appreciated though, is that with regular use over a week or so, the dryness on my lips has improved! I experience way less flaking and the surface of my lips feels much smoother!

Ladies with dry lips, you should definitely give these Clarins Lip Oils as shot. You won’t be disappointed.

Each Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil features unique ingredients which corresponds to the colour, taste (!), natural scent and effect of the oil. I have three of the seven shades available and two of them, Honey and Mint, are newly launched (you can check out all shades here):

Tangerine contains lychee and other fruit and plant oils and smells like a cocktail of exotic fruits. It gives lips a slight orange tint upon application.

Honey contains hazelnut oil as well as honey extract and smells and tastes as honey. It looks clear on the lips.

Mint is exactly what it says in taste, smell and feel. This Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil is slightly tickly and helps plump them a little too. It looks clear, but the slight green tone of it, invisible on lips, helps teeth look whiter.

Apart from nourishing the lips, any of the Clarins lip oils can be used in place of a gloss. Although there is either little or no colour pay off, all three shades I have make my lips look plumper and luminous. The formula is non-sticky and lasts well for the type of product. My lips don’t feel heavy, just taken care of.

And that’s Mint

Of course, this is not a product you should buy for colour. It’s not a lip gloss or liquid lipstick. It’s a lip oil and it does what it’s meant to do really well. I tried Honey on top of lipstick yesterday and it worked really well in adding shine to my lips and hydrating them at the same time.

And last but not least, have a look at that applicator! It’s a sizeable, sponge applicator that grabs as much product as needed and feels amazing while it slides across my lips. Its shape is great for precise application!

All in all, this is a fabulous product! My favourite shade of the three I have is Mint but I also love Honey. Tangerine is great too though; I really can’t choose! Once I run out, which I will for sure, Candy is on my list as the next shade to try. I love these more than my Dior Lip Balm! And I’d say they’ve made their way into my day to day beauty case and my office desk. Check them out at your local Clarins counter or online

Have you tried any of the Clarins Instant Light Comfort oils? What’s your favourite way of keeping your lips hydrated? Please share :).

Have a lovely rest of the week and speak again soon!

These look (and sound) so lovely!! My lips tend to get extremely dry in winter, and this past winter it was a nightmare, I couldn’t apply a liquid lipstick and have it on my lips since they were already dry and I had to exfoliate and apply lip balm every night. I thing everyone needs to try these products, I will keep an eye for them! x

These sound perfect for my extremely dry lips xx

I don´t need much for moisture in the summer, so a lip balm in the evenings works just fine. If I were to get one of these, I´d get the Mint one for the fun!

I’ve tried two lip oils, one from Lancome and the other from Julep and both left my lips drier than ever. For some reason I just can’t get along with lip oils.

I’m so glad you did a post on these! You know I was interested. I think I want Tangerine. The only thing that has really worked for me is the FRESH Advanced Treatment Lip Balm. Will give these a go! Thanks.

These sound amazing! I love the idea of wearing one over lipstick too so it can moisturise during the day. My lips are quite dry at the moment and I feel as though a lot of balms and scrubs don’t help. I’m a huge fan of face oils so am sure I’d enjoy them for the lips.
