Happy Easter to everyone celebrating! I hope you all had a blessed Easter Sunday and a relaxing weekend. We definitely did, although we ate a bit too much! But I’m used to that being the case very year, to be honest. Greek Easter is always a massive feast, which I love. Just before we broke up for the long weekend, I was lucky enough to be able to check out one of the first beauty launches for this summer! The Dior Care & Dare collection is beautiful! I picked up some items which I’ve reviewed for you here, but let’s have a look at the swatches of the entire collection for the purposes of this post!
The Dior Care & Dare Collection combines skincare and daring colour. There is a plethora of items for skin, eyes, lips and cheeks as this is a rather extensive collection (25 pieces). Let’s start with the two eyeshadow quads and the rest of the eye products!
Apart from the eyeshadow quads, Dior released three Dior Show Colour and Contour dual ended pens, which basically contain a bright and a more natural shade each to add a pop of colour as we sculpt our eyes and play with shadow and light. I found the quads to be good quality, but I’m not sure about these pens.
From left too right, as you face the screen we have:
1) 630, Shell Bronze: a gold and brown combination
2) 520, Sun Bath, a white and yellow combination
3) 220, Sea Bay, a dark and light blue combination
As I mentioned, I’m really not sure about these pens. I find them unexciting and chalky, so didn’t invest in them.
For the eyes, there is also a white kohl, an eyelash primer and a Dior Show Mascara in black.
Moving onto lips, Dior released three shades of a lip stain, the Lip Tattoo Longwear Color Tint. This comes in a form of a lip gloss container, only matte and not transparent (you can’t see the colour inside, but the actual container is coloured). There is an applicator inside which helps with precise application. You have to be careful to apply with precision, as this product stains and can’t be easily removed. You will need to have an oil-based make-up remover to completely remove any trace of these tints. I have two to show you today:
If you’re not into lip stains and you prefer something more moisturising or classic, there are six new Dior Addict lipsticks to choose from! These I love!
These Dior Addict Lipsticks come in wonderful shades as you can see. They’re moisturising and feel great to wear! Speaking about moisturising lips, there is a repromote in this collection, the Dior Addict Lip Sugar Scrub (reviewed here).
Last but not least, there are some lovely skin products which are infused with skincare ingredients and antioxidants to protect skin from environmental pollution and other external aging factors. The Dior Liminiser is a liquid highlighter that can be used all over the face or in targeted areas to add luminosity and glow. A little goes a long way and there are two shades, one for light to medium skin tones and one for medium to dark.
To add to that, there are a couple of new matte Nude Air Bronzers that feel buttery soft to touch and blend wonderfully.
You can see the first one (002) is very light for my medium tone skin, but the second works better.
The collection also includes three nail varnishes.
I hope you enjoyed this Swatch Sunday post! There will be another post reviewing a couple of items I purchased in detail. For now, you can find the entire collection in the Dior Boutique in Covent Garden and Selfridges (online here),but it’s launching nationwide on April 19th in the UK.
Are you eyeing any of these items? Are you daring with your summer make-up?
Have a lovely week my lovelies and see you soon!
