Becca Prosecco Pop Shimmering Skin Perfector – Review and Swatches

Hello everyone! Thought I’d squeeze in a brief Tuesday post to introduce you to a wonderful product which launched a couple of weeks ago here in the UK! We are all familiar with the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfectors and with how wonderful they are. Becca has been my go-to brand for highlighters since many years ago, as I find that the shimmer used in all forms of their highlighters (pressed, creme or liquid) is so fine that my skin looks like it’s glowing from within, rather than having product on top! There is already an extensive selection of shades available for all skin tones and preferences, but the brand’s latest addition is simply gorgeous. Ladies and gentlemen, here is the Becca Prosecco Pop Shimmering Skin Perfector!

The Becca Prosecco Pop Shimmering Skin Perfector is the brand’s latest addition to their permanent line and not just a limited edition item, which makes me really happy! It comes in creme, powder and liquid forms to cater for all skin types and tastes. I normally go for liquid highlighter, but this time the pressed one seemed to serve my needs better. I’m planning to use this a lot and I’d like to be able to pop it my my beauty bag to have with, so a powder highlighter made more sense. By the way, this beauty bag is getting bigger and bigger and I desperately need to do something about it!!

Back to Prosecco Pop though. The shade … it’s a divine yellow gold with warm undertones highlighter which would suit great most skin tones, especially light to medium, medium and tanned ones. I’m at my palest now and it’s looking good, but I’m sure I’m gonna love it even more when I get my tan back!

Prosecco Pop is wonderful applied at the top of your cheek bones, but I’ve also tried it on top of a matte blush and it still works great! Of course, feel free to play around! You can use this as a middle of the eyelid pop, on top of a matte eyeshadow or in the inner corner of your eye for extra light. And let’s not forget our cupid’s bow – nothing better than a bit of highlighter in the cupid’s bow! Here is me with it in day light:

Close up on the cheek bones – hopefully you can see Prosecco Pop clearly 🙂

Prosecco Pop has the same quality as all Becca Highlighters: it blends easily, adds a natural glow to your skin and lasts a good 9-10 hours on me. It’s a great option for everyone wanting a good highlighter with yellow undertones. For more swatches, have a a look at Temptalia here. As for the rest of my make-up, I have the Bobbi Brown Art Stick Liquid Lip in Pink Heather on my lips (reviewed here) and the Bobbi Brown Long Wear Liquid Liner in Bronze (you’ve seen me with the blue equivalent here). These liners are super easy to use, I just love them!

Becca’s Prosecco Pop Shimmering Skin Perfector can be purchased in-store and online at Space NK here. It retails for £32 and for the pressed highlighter you get 8 gr of product, which, all things considered, is very good.

What is your favourite highlighter at the moment? Do you own any Becca Highlighters? If so, which one(s) do you love?

Have a lovely rest of the week and speak soon!

Hugs,

Eleni  x

  1. I have Opal in liquid form and mix it into my foundation or primer, and on some days also pat it on top of blush and other areas. It’s just beautiful. This is a lovely shade, the powder form is intriguing – I will have to try it!

  2. You just reminded me that I have Prosecco Pop that comes in Becca x Jaclyn Hill Face palette. I wasn’t fond of the blushers in that palette hence I never reach for it but Prosecco Pop is worth taking it out again.
