Hello, hello!! Not only am I back, but I’m also super excited today! I’m going back to a hobby that I’ve had for a good 9 years now and had recently completely given up due to lack of time and energy. But… I can start again today and I’m over the moon about this! I will post more about that soon :). Talking about being busy, on a day to day basis, I don’t have much time to do my make up, as I’m assuming might be the case with most of you. I can normally take ten to fifteen minutes in the morning before I head out. Being a Londoner, I even do my make up while in the tube *sigh*. As such, I was excited to come across the Limited Edition Charlotte Tilbury Quick ‘n’ Easy makeup kits, specifically designed to serve, us, busy women. Let’s have a look at the Natural Glowing Look today!
The Natural Glowing Look promises to deliver exactly what the name suggests in five minutes (sounds divine to me!) without much effort. The products included in this limited edition kit are :
- Mini Wonderglow (15ml)
- Mini Legendary Lashes Mascara
- Amber Haze Colour Chameleon
- Very Victoria Matte Revolution Lipstick
- Beach Stick in Moon Beach
- A beautiful makeup bag for your products
Let’s have a look at the products one by one, then speak about the overall look.
I have briefly reviewed Charlotte’s Wonderglow before here. I generally like this product and although it’s not my go-to primer on a daily basis, I enjoy it whenever I use it. There is the sliiiightest bronzy tint so that it refreshes the skin and adds beautiful luminosity (but no colour). You can wear it underneath or mix it with your foundation. You can also wear it on its own, which is the suggestion here, for a very natural look as it blurs your pores, making you look at your best without foundation. On my skin, it does not work all that magic, but it’s a quality primer that adds subtle luminosity when I mix it with more matte foundations.
Mini Legendary Lashes Mascara
All Charlotte Tilbury mascaras are good. This one promises extra volume and length as well as longevity and impact. It’s a very black mascara and the wand has thick bristles that coat each lash. It’s not clumpy, it lasts well and doesn’t transfer on me, unless I get sweaty. It’s not water proof though, just transfer-resistant. A good mascara, overall, but I prefer the Full Fat Lashes one, as it’s even more separating.
Amber Haze Colour Chameleon
This is a beautiful shade. Beautiful! I have a few Colour Chameleons and I like them for their unique shades and easy application. However, I’m sorry to say that this product creases on me. And depending on the colour, it can look patchy too (Black Diamonds I’m looking at you). I still wear them and try to make them work because the colours are ever so lovely, but I know that they will crease at the end of the day. Amber Haze is easy to apply and it is not as patchy. I really like it, even if I have to reapply it a few times throughout the day. It comes in full size in the Quick ‘n’ Easy kit.
Very Victoria Matte Revolution Lipstick
I will do a separate post on Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks, as I own a few and I like them all! Very Victoria shows brownish on me and rather soft. It’s beautiful. I think it would pretty much suit all skin tones, but will be more of a statement lip on paler ones whilst more of a nude on darker. As with all Matte Revolution lipsticks (more shades reviewed here), this is not drying, applies beautifully and is relatively long lasting. You get a full size item in this kit.
Beach Stick in Moon Beach
This is a cream blush in a stick form. Very portable and easy to use. You apply it on your cheeks, blend it with fingers and you’re ready to go. On my NC30 skin Moon Beach is way too subtle. It has a bit of a glitter, so it does give me a bit of a highlighting effect but I’m looking for more. I find Beach Sticks just ok, to be honest. They are easy to use and if you take Moon Beach as an example, there is no doubt that it would look rather lovely on a paler skin than mine. I, however, think that there are better cream blushes out there that give you more colour and less glitter. Still, it’s a product I will happily use and there is a full sized one in this kit. I won’t go out of my way and buy one though.

You can put your products in a beautiful make up bag that is included. It’s a crimson coloured bag with lips on it and I find it very useful and pleasant to have with. As you can see in the photo at the beginning of the post, it can fit a lot of products and you can see what’s in it because it’s transparent. They nailed it with this one!
If the Quick ‘n’ Easy makeup need you have is not a natural look, Charlotte has launched another three limited edition kits: the Smokey Eye Evening Look, the Daytime Chic Look and the Red Carpet Party Look. I have one or two products from each one of these kits, so I opted for the Natural Glowing Look as it came with Very Victoria which I’ve been eyeing for a long time now.
Aaaand… it turns out it was a good option for me. You can see the effect in the photo below. It’s subtle but that’s what it is supposed to be, isn’t it. I love the lip and eye colour and definition. Wonderglow works wonders underneath my tinted moisturiser too. I had to use a bit of tinted moisturiser because I need to even my skin tone a little bit and Wonderglow does not help there. The Beach Stick did not do much for me, it only added a bit of extra luminosity. On a day to day basis, I’ve swapped this for one of Bobbi Brown’s cream blushes, which have much less glitter and more colour. I like a subtle blush but not *that* subtle and glittery.
Do you own/ are thinking about getting any of these kits? What do you think about Charlotte Tilbury products? Any loves/ hates?
I hope you have a great evening and speak again soon!
